Matt Walker is a Town Planning consultant with over 16 years of experience, 7 of those years working at the Byron Shire Council (2009 - 2016).

 

​Matt studied a Bachelor of Urban & Regional Planning with Honours at the University of South Australia and has a broad range of experience having worked in Adelaide, London and Byron.

Matt has a wealth of understanding in Town Planning related matters throughout NSW, especially in the Northern Rivers. Matt has a unique and ethical approach to Council regulations, provide a high level of personal service and bespoke solutions to obtain Council approval with ease and speed.

 

Matt has worked at the Byron Shire Council for 7 years as a Town Planner in both the Development Assessment Department and Strategic Planning section so he has a broad range of Planning skills and knowledge. He was involved in assessing a wide variety of small to large scale development applications and worked within the Strategic Planning department for 2 years assessing Planning Proposals and assisting in the rezoning of land and community consultation.

 

Matt specialises in providing town planning and development advice, preparing detailed planning reports and facilitating Council approval for all varying types of Development Applications in the Northern Rivers. Matt works closely with a number of reputable Architects, Engineers, Environmental Scientists, On Site Sewer Management specialists, Ecologists, Arborists and Surveyors in order to meet all of your planning needs.
